Rusty Taylor

Rusty Taylor was born, raised, and still resides in Clay County. He graduated from Lineville High School in 1995, where he played football. He later volunteered as a football and baseball coach at his alma mater before moving to Clay Central following school consolidation. He is married to Shannon Taylor, and they have one son, Dawson, who coaches at the high school level.

Rusty retired from the City of Lineville after more than 29 years of service, during which he served as city supervisor and recreational sports director. He remains active in numerous community organizations and his church.

He began his broadcasting career in 2017 as the Voice of the Clay Central Volunteers, a role he continues today. During that time, he co-hosted multiple local sports shows, bringing his knowledge of local athletics to listeners across the area.

Away from the microphone, Rusty is an avid hunter, fisherman, and golfer.
