When the county tournament was on the line, Taylor Hammonds stepped up in a big way for Fayetteville.
In a rubber matchup setting with everything at stake, Hammonds delivered one of the most impactful performances of the tournament, blasting two of Fayetteville’s three home runs and helping power her team when it mattered most.
It’s been a dominant season at the plate for Hammonds.
She’s hitting an impressive .469 with a .585 on-base percentage, while adding 3 home runs, 12 RBIs, and 16 runs scored. Her ability to get on base and create offense has been a constant for Fayetteville, and her speed adds another dimension with 6 stolen bases on the year.
Hammonds also committed to play softball at Central Alabama Community College earlier this week.
Clutch power. Consistent production. Big-time moments.
That’s why Taylor Hammonds of Fayetteville is this week’s Allen Brew Market Athlete of the Week.
