Coach Jerry Weems and Coach Kris Herron started off a new week. Herron shared an update on his recovery from hip replacement surgery, while Weems recapped his weekend, including time at the grill. Herron’s Hog of the Week, presented by Blair Family Farm & Market, went to Clay Central left guard Gunner Strickland, who was in the studio with Coach Dorsey for the presentation. Rusty Taylor called in to announce Daylon Houston as the AGL Solid Waste Authority Player of the Week, marking a repeat win. Heath Stroud also shared the latest in his Bone Report from the weekend.

Tony Haynes, Clay Central’s School Resource Officer with the Clay County Sheriff’s Department, joined the show to discuss his role at the school and his responsibilities in keeping students and staff safe.

Heath Stroud filled in for Coach Herron, joining Rusty Taylor to open the show with headlines from AL.com. The two discussed recent storms, local damage, and power and internet outages, sharing their experiences at home and Heath’s concerns about severe storm damage. They also revisited Friday night’s football broadcast and went over listener feedback.

Andrea Taylor and The Bone, Heath Stroud, also stopped in to discuss Saturday’s first in-house powerlifting competition at Limitless Fitness.

Coach Jerry Weems joined Coach Kris Herron to start a new week with a look at the weekend’s storms, including power outages and downed limbs across the area. Chance Jones, the Executive Director of the Clay County Economic Development Council, stopped by the studio for a visit. Heath Stroud wrapped up the morning with his weekend report.

David Nolen joined Coach Kris Herron on the eve of the weekend. The guys shared stories about an outstanding meal of original KFC, which led to a few “Little House on the Prairie” memories. They also recognized a Beatle celebrating a birthday and covered some things newcomers to the South and Alabama need to know.

Coach Steve Giddens rode along with Coach Kris Herron and recapped his ride in on a fall morning. The guys looked at Hurricane Isaias, including the meaning behind its name. Jenna Schmidt, Regional Extension Agent for Animal Sciences and Forages with Alabama Extension, joined the show to share her story and highlight opportunities to learn at the upcoming “Weed Walk.”

Rusty Taylor joined Coach Kris Herron for the morning and shared the latest information on a tropical storm and what could be headed our way. The guys also looked at the concerns surrounding data centers and whether negative campaigning actually works. Coach Jerry Weems and David Nolen made a special early Wednesday morning appearance as Herron presented The Bone, Heath Stroud, with a gift of appreciation for filling in last week, along with a little something for everyone.

Coach & Friends featured a special first-Thursday visit from Sheila Sparks, Coach Steve Giddens’ sister. They explored the importance of life and work experience and how the lessons gained along the way are something that can never be taken away. With October marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Donna J. Matthews, a breast cancer survivor, also joined the conversation and shared her personal experience and journey.
