The Barber, David Nolen, was back in for the long ride with Coach Kris Herron. Dave was getting set for a big adventure on the road. The word “scuppernong” made its way into the conversation. A grandkid report followed after a weekend of babysitting. The show also featured a Japanese hit song from the 1960s and a big orange that brought Vickie Merle back to childhood.

Coach Steve Giddens swung into the studio with Coach Kris Herron for a Sister Stella Thursday. Fall has officially arrived at the Giddens residence, bringing back memories of Homewood Ski Lodge. Songwriting was also on the table, along with a surprise drop-in from Fetner. The guys tackled an important question: Were they too old to dance? The show concluded with some reflections on September 11.

Rusty Taylor grinded his way into the studio with Coach Kris Herron. Taylor’s retirement is underway, with chores and golf filling two of his first three days. The Dog stopped by with sausage biscuits topped with scuppernong jelly. The guys also covered firearms and the latest headlines from The Clay Times Journal.

Coach Michael Shortt rode along with Coach Kris Herron as they started a brand-new month. Shortt shared a story about a cousin who knew Dolly Parton. He also recapped his brutal Thursday and Friday schedule that kept him up until 6 a.m. Saturday. The guys talked about shooting B-roll on Friday nights, a granddaughter who caught a tree frog, and the latest from the farm.

Coach Jerry Weems joined Coach Kris Herron as a new week began. The guys caught up on the weekend. Herron’s Hog of the Week, presented by Blair Family Farm & Market, went to Clay Central Vols standout Clayton Tomlin. Rusty Taylor joined by phone to announce the Clay Central Vols AGL Solid Waste Authority Player of the Week, Hudson Foster. Heath Stroud also checked in with the weekly Bone Report from another busy weekend.

Bill “Bubba” Bussey joined Coach Kris Herron for a memorable morning. The guys talked Tesla troubles with it in the shop, celebrated the return of the “Tailgate, Tailgate” podcast, and even worked in an impromptu performance of the national anthem.

Coach Michael Shortt eased in alongside Coach Kris Herron. The guys looked ahead to the holiday season. Only three months remain until the Thanksgiving Blowout Extravaganza! Shortt also gave a glimpse into what a typical Friday looks like for him during the fall.

Coach Jerry Weems and Coach Kris Herron started off a new week by looking back at their weekends. Rusty Taylor joined the guys as they announced the AGL Player of the Week for the Fyffe game. The Bone, Heath Stroud, also stopped by with his Bone Report and the latest from his weekend.

David Nolen slid in with Coach Kris Herron as the guys glided toward the weekend. Faithful listener and farmer Chase Hammock joined the guys for a little harvest talk. Coach Herron was feeling a little edgy with it being game day, and Vickie Merle was quick to call him out on it.

Rusty Taylor flew in and joined Coach Kris Herron. Taylor's trip to the studio included a few close calls with drivers traveling without their headlights on. Ole' #54, Nap, stopped by for a check-in. The discussion eventually led the guys to taking Alabama's online DMV practice license test. They finished with a score of 27 out of 30, although they had a few disagreements with the answers they missed.

Coach Michael Shortt was in the house with Coach Kris Herron. The guys covered everything from Shortt's farm getting ready for the fall and the last football game they could remember being rained out to the surprising weight of steel rolls carried by big rigs.
