Coach Justin McCollum, the walking Clay County almanac, joined in to answer the question of how Upchurch Field in Lineville got its name.

Hall of Fame friend Coach Jerry Weems joined Coach Kris Herron to start off a new week on the show. Chance Jones, the Executive Director of the Clay County Economic Development Council, stopped by for a visit. Heath “The Bone” Stroud also checked in with his weekend update.

Coach Michael Shortt made his return and jumped in with Coach Kris Herron to catch everyone up on his busy last month. The guys also talked about the foggy morning and the drive down Highway 9. Heath Bone dropped by to check out the greasy spot in the road, and they had some fun naming songs with states in the title.

A new year and the crew was off and running. Coach Jerry Weems and Coach Kris Herron were joined by Dr. Chip East to open 2026. The show started the Semiquincentennial recognition and celebration, while also explaining what a mast year for acorns means and why it matters.

Coach Kris Herron and his Hall of Fame friend, Coach Jerry Weems, were on for the last Monday of 2025. They talked about the big Weems family Christmas, which featured a spirited game of Right, Left, Center. Props were given to the water boys for their hard work over the holidays. The Bone, Heath Stroud, also stopped by to share highlights from his extended Christmas weekend.

The Hall of Famer, Coach Jerry Weems, was with the has-been, Coach Kris Herron, to start the short Christmas week. Coach Weems talked about having sausage dogs over the weekend and finally finding the Peacock Network on his TV. Coach Herron shared how he spent Christmas with his family and receiving sheets and towels. Brother Ben Rosser joined the guys in studio to share a Christian message and reminisce about his early days in the radio industry.

Get Up with Giddens! Coach Steve Giddens was along for the ride this morning as the guys learned about the “Galleria” of Clay County, which Giddens recently visited. He also shared the sense of pride that came with being able to help out on his latest home improvement project. Kelly G. Smith, the librarian at Ashland Elementary School, stopped by to read a Christmas story.

Ole’ #54 Duane Nappier sat in on a Shorttless Tuesday and shared his love for Christmas yard decorations, highlighting a few of his favorites. Heath Bone tagged in for the second hour. The guys discussed personality traits tied to birth dates and birth months, and Bone shared details of a Christmas trip with his family.

Coach Kris Herron slid into the weekend with The Barber, David Nolen. Dave told the story of a road trip for hamburger steak that led him through a Christmas wonderland of lights, and he shared a few memorable A/C tales from the Nolen household back in the day. He also talked about the Nolen family Christmas celebration happening this weekend.
