William saw Kelly for the first time when she stepped into the doorway of the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Opelika. “We did not do the ‘first look’ until the ceremony so that was the first time we saw each other. I would not trade that moment for the world,” says Kelly.
William and Kelly married on April 29, 2017, with the reception held at Southerly Warehouse in Opelika. Kelly wore a trumpet-style gown in ivory as her father gave her away. The bride also carried a handkerchief passed down from the groom’s paternal grandmother.
The gathering moved to Southerly Warehouse where The Tim Tyler Band provided entertainment. Food, catered by Chef Robert Teel, included Chirizo corn cakes, wedge salad, steak Diane over parmesan plenta in addition to herb roasted chicken selections. Torie Brinson displayed a vast array of floral design while photographer Tristan Cairns captured all of the memories. Katy Blackburn of Make It Perfect events planned the ceremony and reception.
From a beachside proposal in Watercolor, Florida, to teary-eyed vow recitation in Opelika, Kelly is excited about the days and years ahead. “I am looking forward to the continual growth of our relationship and to see where God takes us along this amazing journey,” says Kelly.
