Kylie and Judson Scott married Nov. 4, 2017, at Agricola Farms in Dadeville. The property, owned by family friends Austin and Michelle Singleton, was the picture-perfect venue for the outdoor ceremony, planned in detail by close family friend Sherri Woodham. Kylie wore a strapless, fitted gown designed by Anna Maier Couture of The White Room in Birmingham. The bride also carried a handkerchief passed down from the groom’s paternal grandmother. Kylie placed a sixpence coin in her left shoe that her “mimi” had given her, a tradition which dated to the late 17th century for good luck.

James (Jay) Wilson Jacks, Jr. walked his daughter down the aisle as the ceremony faced a thicket of Alabama pines. The groom had built a stage for his bride, and Brother George Mathison of Auburn United Methodist Church presided over the ceremony. Flowers by C. Wayman Floral and Events draped a wooden cross as a backdrop.

After the ceremony, the party walked the short distance to the Singleton’s farm house which was surrounded with tents for the food and band as the sun faded behind the pines. Guests enjoyed hor dourves with food stations provided by Chef Rob Teel which held salads, specialty soup, meatball sliders, shrimp cocktails, among others. The taco bar proved the biggest hit.

Although the couple began their relationship in high school, the next chapter began in Rosemary Beach, Fla., when Judson stopped on the way to join family for dinner, dropped to one knee and proposed. Not only did both families jump out to congratulate the couple, but Judson also surprised Kylie by gathering their closest friends back at the beach house so the celebration could continue. “It was seriously one of the best days of my life that I will cherish forever,” says Kylie.

Kylie looks forward to life as a Scott. “I feel so blessed to have found a Godly man who will lead me toward Christ every single day,” says Kylie. The happy couple has settled into their new home and careers.Kylie works at Wilson Investment Group in Auburn while Judson works at Cowin Equipment in Montgomery.
