SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Sylacauga High School soccer players and coaches received much-deserved recognition on the 2022 All-County and All-State teams.
Boys Varity Coach Billy Faircloth was named Talladega County Coach of the Year while Preston Bowen, Hudson Hodges, Aaron Roland, and Dexter Tai were all selected as part of the 2022 All-County Boys Soccer Team. Sylacauga’s Camden Faircloth was awarded the Golden Boot Award for forward of the year. Franklin Perez took home the midfielder of the year Box-to-Box Award.
Faircloth, Hodges, Perez, and Tai were also selected as members of the 2022 Boys 4A/5A All State 1st Team. Faircloth and Perez were selected as members of the 2022 Boys All Classifications (1A-7A) All-State 1st Team.
For girls varsity soccer, Katlyn Boozer, September Bowen, and Molly Childress were selected as part of the 2022 All-County Girls Soccer Team.
Also part of the All-County Girls Soccer Team is Sydney Ezekiel. Ezekiel was voted Keeper of the Year.
The All-County Team and individual awards are voted on and selected by all soccer coaches from Talladega County.
