
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama’s Tyler Ras was selected as a finalist for the 2021 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I Gold Glove Team, the American Baseball Coaches Association and Rawlings Sporting Goods announced late Monday evening.
The junior is one of three finalists at pitcher who are in contention for a Gold Glove. He is joined by Robert Ahlstrom of Oregon and Jacob Key of UIC. The ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Teams will be announced on Wednesday, June 23 by Rawlings via Twitter.
Ras is seeking to become the Crimson Tide’s third winner of an ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove. Alabama’s two previous winners include Taylor Dugas (2011) and most recently Kyle Overstreet (2013).

- Earned SEC All-Defensive Team honors from the league coaches earlier this season
- Fielded at a perfect 1.000, totaling seven putouts and 11 assists across his 18 total chances
- Put together a solid season overall as the Crimson Tide’s Friday night starter from week two onward, finishing with a team-high seven wins as part of his 7-5 record
- Tossed 5.0 or more innings in 11 starts and finished second on UA with 86.2 total innings as a junior
