Auburn basketball landed its fifth commitment of the 2020 class on Thursday with center Dylan Cardwell choosing the Tigers over a list of schools including Connecticut, Georgia, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.

Cardwell, a three-star recruit, is the No. 150 player nationally and the No. 25 center, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. The 6-foot-10 big man played on the same high school basketball team as five-star point guard Sharife Cooper at McEachern High School in Powder Springs, Georgia.
With only one true center remaining on Auburn’s roster in Babatunde Akingbola, Cardwell provides depth at a position of need for the Tigers.
