SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Sylacauga Head Coach Matt Griffith had high praise for lineman LaJordan Pearson before he signed to play football at the next level.
Pearson will play football and achieve his academic goals at Miles College.
“We’re very proud of LaJordan,” said Griffith in front of Pearson’s signing day crowd at Sylacauga High School. “He came in to summer before his senior year and saw that he had a shot to play at the next level. He was one of the hardest guys in practice to handle. Good things happen when you work hard.”
Miles College is a senior, private, liberal arts Historically Black College with roots in the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, the college’s website says.
Pearson played on both the offensive line and defensive line for Sylacauga, and said he has a chance to play on either for Miles College.
