Private: 98.3 Fox FM Interference: We Need Your Help

On Friday, Feb. 10, Marble City Media LLC filed a formal complaint with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) protesting interference to its WFXO-FM, Stewartville, Ala., from an FM translator transmitter licensed to Tarrant, Ala., and broadcasting from a tower in Birmingham, Ala.

This interference has interrupted the signal of WFXO-FM, also known as 98.3 Fox FM, or made it unlistenable in parts of its licensed and protected coverage area. Translator W252BE rebroadcasts a Mexican music format from WAYE-AM, Birmingham, on WFXO-FM’s frequency of 98.3 MHz.

Various parts of WFXO-FM’s potential listening area are affected, with most reports from listeners in and around Sylacauga and to the northwest to through Childersburg as well as north through Sycamore to Talladega.

If you are a new or regular WFXO-FM listener and have noticed interference, please click here to complete a listener declaration form. As part of its investigative and enforcement processes, the FCC relies to a great extent on reports from listeners.

Based in Sylacauga, Marble City Media LLC owns and operates local and regional AM and FM radio stations licensed to Sylacauga, Stewartville, Rockford, and Alexander City. We are committed to providing the best possible signal to each and every listener in the coverage areas we are licensed and privileged to serve.

Thank you, and thanks for listening to the all-new 98.3 Fox FM!
