SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Starting February 6, MIX 106.5 will have a new sound on Sunday mornings.
MIX Sunday Morning, hosted by Gregg Wykoff, will feature contemporary praise and worship music, encouraging stories, and interviews from local business people, worship leaders, everyone in-between sharing their stories of faith.
“I’m honored, excited, and blessed with this new opportunity,” said Wykoff. “Bringing programming like this to our area every Sunday is something we need and I’m thrilled to be at the helm.”
Wykoff is no stranger to the radio or MIX 106.5. He has served as the Voice of the B.B. Comer Tigers on MIX 106.5 for the last three years. He is a native of the area, married with four children and works at Resolute Forest Products in Childersburg.
For the last six months, MIX 106.5 has aired Sonrise, a nationally-syndicated show with similar content and music. Because of its success, RadioAlabama is now originating its own music and content with MIX Sunday Morning.
“Sonrise has helped pave the way for us to create MIX Sunday Morning,” said Michael Brannon, Executive Vice President of RadioAlabama. “Sliding Gregg into this role is a natural fit. He loves people and loves God. What more could you ask for? He came to us with this idea a while ago and now it is coming to fruition. I’m glad we can bring new, uplifting, and positive music to our lineup.”
MIX Sunday Morning airs Sundays from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. on MIX 106.5. The show can also be streamed at mix1065radio.com, heard on the MIX 106.5 app available in the App Store or Google Play, on TuneIn, Amazon Alexa, and iHeartRadio.
