[WATCH] Week Eight: Star Physical Therapy ‘Star Player of the Game’ – Keundre Pearson and Maleek Pope

This is a first for The Aggie Sports Network when handing out Star Physical Therapy ‘Star Player of the Game’ honors, but when you knock the fifth ranked team in class 5A, it probably took more than one player to make it happen.

For the 17-6 victory over Center Point Friday night, a player from offense and defense received game eight’s Star Player of the Game award.

Senior WR Keundre Pearson was thrown into the fire at cornerback after Dontavius Ware went out with an injury early in the game. Pearson stepped in  – and stepped up. The senior had at least two pass breakups, one in the end zone, and reeled in this key interception in the third quarter with the Eagles driving to take the lead.

And with the game still on the line, Maleek Pope, the sophomore phenom running back, took this carry 53 yards to the house to seal the game for the Aggies. Start the video at 52 seconds.

There is another big test facing the Aggies this Friday night on the road vs. the defending 5A state champions Clay Central Volunteers.
