Alabama’s Tagovailoa, Dickerson receive SEC Player of the Week honors

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama took down South Carolina 47-23 at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia behind Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s 444 passing yards and five touchdowns.

Tagovailoa was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance.

Overall, the junior QB led seven scoring drives in nine total drives. His 444 yards are a career high and the third most in school history. He also became the first player in school history to pass for 400 yards and five touchdowns.

Junior transfer OL Landon Dickerson was named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week.  Dickerson started at right guard and did not give up a a hurry, pressure or sack. He also did not miss a single assignment.
