AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn men’s basketball team has added a power conference opponent to its non-conference schedule when it faces Big Ten foe Nebraska in the 2021 installment of Holiday Hoopsgiving.
The game is set to take place Dec. 11 in Atlanta, Ga. as part of a quadruple-header that also features Georgia Tech vs. LSU, Ole Miss vs. Western Kentucky and Clemson vs. an opponent to be determined.
All four games will take place at State Farm Arena, home of the Atlanta Hawks. Tip times and television designations will be announced at a later date.
Auburn and Nebraska have not yet met on the hardwood.
Under third-year head coach Fred Hoiberg, Nebraska returns four starters and five of its top six scorers from last season. The Huskers also added a five-member recruiting class which is ranked as a high as 13th nationally by ESPN.
With the addition of Holiday Hoopsgiving on the schedule, Auburn is set to play in Atlanta for a regular season non-conference game for the second time under head coach Bruce Pearl after having done so last season vs. Memphis.
