Tigers begin week on the road at No. 20 Georgia Tech

AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn begins a stretch of four road games in five days at No. 20 Georgia Tech Tuesday night.

First pitch between the Tigers and Yellow Jackets at Russ Chandler Stadium is set for 5 p.m. CT.

The game will be broadcast nationally on ACC Network and can be heard locally on the Auburn Sports Network.

Tuesday’s game against Georgia Tech marks Auburn’s 10th game against a ranked opponent in the last 13 contests.

Seven of the team’s last 13 games have been decided by one run and two more were decided by two runs.

Tuesday’s game also represents Auburn’s first midweek game since Mar. 16.

The Tigers are 4-0 and hitting .399 with 66 runs on 59 hits in midweek games this season.

Ryan Bliss has a hit in 15 of the last 16 contests and multiple hits in 11 games during the span.

Auburn has hit a home run in six straight games and has two or more home runs in four of the last five games.

The team’s 43 home runs through 28 games are the 10th most in the NCAA and are two shy of the pace the 2010 team that set the single-season record was on through 28 games.

Tuesday’s game marks the 240th contest between Auburn and Georgia Tech in a series that dates back to 1897.

Auburn leads the series, 121-112-6, but trails Georgia Tech in games played in Atlanta, 55-63-2.

Tuesday’s game marks Auburn’s first game in Atlanta since winning the 2019 Atlanta Regional en route to making the program’s first trip to the College World Series in 22 years.


Georgia Tech enters the week with a 15-12 overall record and 12-9 mark in ACC play after dropping two of three games at Notre Dame over the weekend.

The Yellow Jackets are hitting .294 as a team and have five everyday players hitting .300 or better, led by freshman catcher Kevin Parada’s .378 clip.

The pitching staff has turned in a 5.27 ERA and is allowing opponents to hit .268 against them.
