Heath Stroud

Born and raised in Clay County, Heath Stroud is a proud 1996 graduate of Clay County High School and a familiar voice across East Central Alabama. As the host of the midday show on Classic Country 90.9 and a multimedia broadcaster with RadioAlabama, Heath brings energy, authenticity, and a genuine love for connecting with people. Whether he’s behind the microphone, producing live high school sports broadcasts, filming community events, or hosting remote broadcasts, his focus is always on serving the listeners and communities he calls home.

Before beginning his broadcasting career, Heath spent more than 25 years in the golf industry as a professional caddie, where he learned the value of preparation, teamwork, and building lasting relationships. Those experiences continue to shape his approach both on and off the air.

When he’s not on the air, you’ll likely find Heath playing golf, making music with friends, producing content for local events, or spending time with family. Above all, he considers it a privilege to inform, entertain, and celebrate the people and stories that make East Central Alabama such a special place to call home.
