Steve Giddens – RadioAlabama

On-Air Talent

Coach Steve Giddens is an acclaimed sports figure and broadcaster in East Central Alabama. Giddens and his wife, Diane, enjoy spending time with their four children, 12 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Before joining RadioAlabama, he built an illustrious high school coaching career. Giddens served as the head basketball and football coach at Lineville High School, capturing the Class 2A basketball state championship and compiling a 138-47 football record. He later unified rivals as the first head football coach at Central High School of Clay County. Giddens is a member of the AHSAA Hall of Fame Class of 2023.

Transitioning from the sidelines to the broadcast booth, Giddens now shares his extensive athletic expertise on the air. He co-hosts weekly editions of Coach & Friends and Three Point Stance on Classic Country 90.9, delivering regional sports reports and high school play-by-play commentary to local fans.

Giddens was a member of the 1983 Auburn University intramural basketball and softball championship teams.
