THREATS
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 65 mph possible

SITUATION
Small clusters of strong to severe thunderstorms will continue to develop and intensify this afternoon across the Watch area and gradually move towards the coast. The stronger thunderstorms will pose a risk for wet microbursts capable of 55 to 65 mph gusts and scattered wind damage. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60 statute miles north and south of a line from 25 miles west northwest of New Orleans LA to 35 miles north northeast of Crestview FL. PRECAUTIONS
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce tornadoes.
