Building on an award-winning heritage in commercial broadcasting along with a solid commitment to entertainment, information, and public service, the nonprofit RadioAlabama Foundation owns and operates two noncommercial radio stations: WJHO-FM (branded as 89.7 WJHO, featuring a unique contemporary Christian format) and WFAZ-FM (branded as Classic Country 90.9, featuring a compelling classic country format).

Transmitting from a tall tower near the southeastern edge of the Talladega National Forest, the stations reach listeners in parts of more than 10 counties across east-central Alabama. They are among the 47 full-power, noncommercial radio stations in the entire state.

As part of the larger RadioAlabama brand, the Foundation relies solely on support from local businesses, organizations, and individual listeners through underwriting and donations. Together, the RadioAlabama network spans 17 counties, stretching from the Birmingham suburbs through Auburn-Opelika and south toward Montgomery.
