Rooted in Clay County, Serving East Alabama
We’re proud to call Clay County home — but our mission stretches across East Alabama, from Ashland and Lineville to Anniston, Oxford, and the communities in between.
At the RadioAlabama Foundation, we’re here to serve — not sell. Our two non-commercial stations, Classic Country 90.9 and 89.7 WJHO, are focused on giving back to the communities we’re part of through programming that’s meaningful, local, and built around you.
Every weekday morning on Classic Country 90.9, you’ll hear live, local voices you know — folks you grew up listening to — sharing classic country favorites, local updates, and stories that matter to this area.
From country classics and high school sports to weather alerts and community news, we’re here to keep East Alabama connected in a way only local radio can.
We’re not just broadcasting — we’re part of the fabric of this place. And we’re honored to be in it with you.
Classic Country 90.9 and 89.7 WJHO are owned and operated by the non-profit RadioAlabama Foundation. Funding comes from area businesses and industries through underwriting – and financial contributions from listeners like you. Everything we do for the communities we serve is free, and every penny we raise helps support our ongoing mission. If you enjoy what you hear, encourage your company to work with us as a sponsor, or make a personal contribution.
